RDA Virtual Round Tables to discuss regional challenges – Housing and Workforce availability

You are invited to register to attend one of two RDA virtual round tables to discuss the top challenges affecting regional communities as identified by RDA committees:

  1. Housing affordability and availability – 1:00PM – 4:30PM Monday 17 July 2023 (AEST)
  2. Workforce availability – 1:00PM – 4:30PM Tuesday 18 July 2023 (AEST)

Each of the round tables will be independently facilitated to discuss the issues in detail and identify options, solutions and opportunities. The round table discussions will provide the opportunity for all participants to hear from, learn from and exchange information with their peers, providing valuable insights and place-based evidence and data on the issues to inform Government and policy.

The round tables will be interactive and held online with breakout sessions to allow small group discussions. Throughout the round tables, each of the participants will be expected to contribute information on what is happening in your regions, provide details of current strategies and projects and identify options and opportunities to address the key issue and will walk away with having broadened their understanding and contributed to identifying real solutions.

Following the round tables, the independent facilitator will provide a summary of the discussions and solutions identified which will be presented back by an RDA representative to the Minister and RDA delegates at the RDA National Forum on 28 July 2023 in Toowoomba. The purpose of the round tables is to provide the Minister and the Government with a details and context of these issues and the impacts to regions with clear outcomes, solutions and opportunities that can be considered in the development of policy.

RDAs can register to attend one of the round tables – with each roundtable limited to 25 RDA participants. Please click here to register.

Once registrations close, RDAs will be sent a meeting invitation with the Zoom dial in details and an agenda.
