NSW Regional Skilled Migration: Planning for future workforce

May 11, 2023

If your business in the Blue Mountains is challenged by workforce shortages, you can now register to attend a free Migration Information Session delivered by Regional Development Australia (RDA) Sydney, in partnership with the Blue Mountains City Council.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday 31 May, with representatives from local businesses and organisations invited to join key officials from the Business, Industry and Regional Outreach (BIRO) from the Department of Home Affairs, Migration Institute of Australia, and RDA Central West and RDA Sydney.

Discussions and presentations will focus on migration and its importance to the region, Australia’s regional migration and industry support programs, and the NSW Regional Skilled Migration Program, as well as updates on recent announcements to Australia’s migration programs.
The workshop is aimed to assist businesses across various industries that are looking to develop workforce and gain a greater understanding of Australia’s Regional Skilled Migration program. This includes health, aged care, hospitality, education and training, agriculture and manufacturing organisations.

Attendees can expect to be informed on the availability of visa programs (190, 491, 189, 494) as well as have the opportunity to connect with Government Department representatives to learn and discuss challenges and opportunities that regional visa programs present, both in the short and long term.
