TEN4TEN: Inspiring the Next Generation of Regional Leaders in the Central West

What happens when you connect the region’s most promising young minds with its most experienced leaders? For students selected for the TEN4TEN Leadership Dialogue, it’s the beginning of a transformative journey – one that opens doors, builds confidence, and plants the seeds of future leadership right here in the Central West.

Run by Regional Development Australia (RDA) Central West, the program has become a cornerstone of youth leadership development in the region since it began in 2020. Designed to connect high-potential students with experienced mentors, TEN4TEN offers a powerful platform for personal growth, career insight and community engagement.

“The Central West is home to an exceptional pool of leaders, and this program reflects a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation – helping young people see the opportunities that exist not only beyond school, but right here in their own backyard,” says RDA Central West Director Josh Gordon.

A Mentoring Experience Like No Other

  • A visit to the Parliament of Australia in Canberra, hosted by mentor and Federal Member for Calare Andrew Gee MP

  • Plus additional mentoring and leadership events throughout the year.

Who Can Apply?

The program is open to Year 11 students from high schools located within the Orange, Blayney and Cabonne Local Government Areas. Students are selected based on leadership potential, initiative, and a demonstrated interest in contributing to their communities.

Over the past five years, TEN4TEN has helped forge strong local networks and inspired a new wave of regional leaders – many of whom have gone on to pursue study, advocacy and careers that contribute meaningfully to their communities.
